I'm 42 and remember Stuckeys well. My family travelled every summer from Michigan to Alabama to visit my Grandparents. I always looked forward to stopping a Stuckeys. My favorite part was going to the vending machine near the bathrooms that had toys and puzzles it it. I always saved a few quarters so I could buy something from the vending machine! Thanks for the great memories.

Our house was about 3 doors down from Mr. and Mrs. Stucky's (William Sr.) on St. Simons Island in Georgia. This was the Stucky's summer and vacation home. My brothers and I rode the school bus, and the bus stop was on the Stucky's corner. They always said we could use their carport to wait on the bus if it was raining. This was so symbolic of the Stuckys hospitality! Often times, when I was a little kid in the '70's, the Stuckys would be at their home on St. Simons. They were always gracious and friendly and welcoming and frequently were in their front yard to say a big "hello!". I long for those good old times! And always enojoyed the Christmas pecan logs Tresha Dyal, our neighbor, who also was from Eastman, gave us! We stopped often at Stuckeys over the years and always found it a treat! Love Stuckys!
